Quilting a pillow with trapunto

This is a circus print fabric and a test for the quilt.
The quilt is 5 ft by 5 ft and not a quick quilt.

First take the fabric used and use a light piece of flat batting on the back and add a piece of soft 200 count plain muslin so you have something that is used to be able to outline quilt the animals or print that is on your fabric.

Sew the muslin to the back with the batting sandwiched in between.
Outline quilt around each thing in the print to give a little back.  next on the back of the outlined print you will slice down the middle, just big enough to stuff just enough polyfill fill to give three dimension and then sew the slit up and do all the outlined parts this way.

Make your pillow shape and put an invisible zipper in it.

If that works for you than just do the same to your big quilt and work on that...

Where am I?....I am at this moment still hand sewing through the back of this quilt tiny stitches between the trapunto'd figures so the back is fastened to the front.... and a few in between straight machine quilting stitches.
